Here’s a guided practice to help our fingers become familiar with what I call the bluegrass scale. I think getting scales under your fingers creates the muscle memory that you need to grab the right notes when improvising.

C Major Scale - Low G - Exercise 1
Here we have a guided practice for the C major Scale using a Low G. Having the lower string increases the instruments range and can throw people off that aren’t used to that sound. I’ve decided to do this in separate videos for Low and High G to avoid that confusion. Hope this helps!
