Here’s a fun one that you can play for your more “kolohe” friends. This fun, easy song is sure to put a smile on some faces!

  • East to West

Here’s one that’s special to me. I don’t do a lot of christian music on here, but this one really hits the spot for me and lends itself nicely to the ukulele. East to West from Casting Crowns is one of those songs that really resonates with me. Hope you like it.

  • Here, There and Everywhere

Here’s another Beatles tune. Funny, last one we did in the original key, citing that most tend to play it in C. Here we play it in C not because we want to be different, but because I can’t sing it that high. Lol. Anyway, here’s the classic, Here, There and Everywhere from the Fab Four!… But in C

  • Honolulu City Lights (instrumental)

Aloha, Folks! Here’s an instrumental version of Honolulu City Lights. You could play this on its own, as a chord melody, or use it as the solo part in playing the song when singing it!

  • Honolulu City Lights

Hey, folks! Here’s one of the first songs that I learned to play. I’ve always loved the nostalgia factor that the song evokes. Honolulu City Lights by the Beamer Brothers is a great song for the Ukulele as it is complex and simple at the same time. Hope you enjoy playing this classic tune!

  • Blackbird

Here’s one that is sure to get you some attention! I’ve seen folks cover Blackbird on the Ukulele before, but most of them play it in C. The guitar version is in G, so that is what I used as a reference for this version. Hope you like it!

  • Danny Boy Chord Melody uTab

This one's a uTab. That means I show, and you tab it the way you understand. This is a chord Melody version of Danny Boy. Hope you like this one and actually go through the process of tabbing it out. This is like an entry into self transcribing that will improve your ear and musical awareness!

  • Love Yourself

Never thought I’d get to the point where I’d teach you folks a Justin Bieber tune, but this one is actually a song that I think I like. Lol. Anyway, here’s how to play Love Yourself….

  • Ahulili

Here’s one that’s been done by just about everyone! Ahulili is basically a standard for the aspiring Hawaiian musician. Have fun with this one!

  • You Look So Good in Love

Here’s a great tune from George Strait! I tell you what, these country dudes got a way with words. Great example of what a bittersweet song should be!

  • Danny Boy

Here’s one for the Celtic folks out there. Danny Boy is known now days as kind of a funeral song, but I tend to think of it as more of an Irish tune. Hope you like it!

  • Jimmy Buffett Tribute

So here’s one in tribute to Jimmy Buffett. One of my favorite things about his music is how “to the point” it is. Here's a great example. Why don’t we get drunk and screw. Lol. No hidden meaning in that. Hope you like it!

  • Rich Men North of Richmond

I was on the fence about doing this one because the singer of the tune sounds so great doing it and when I sing it, it sounds like an animal is dying. Lol anyway, here’s Oliver Anthony’s Rich Men North of Richmond Ukulele style! Hope you like it.

  • Jambalaya (On the Bayou)

Here’s a Hank Williams classic that’s sure to put a smile on your face. Jambalaya is one of those songs that is fun to play, but also makes a Hawaiian hungry. Lol! Hope you enjoy this fun, easy tune!

  • Home on the Range

Here’s a throwback! I bet we’ve all sang this one in elementary school! Home on the range is one of the first songs I ever learned the lyrics to. Makes for a great sing along song! Hope you enjoy it!

  • Wonderful Tonight

All right, guys, here's my take on the Eric Clapton classic Wonderful Tonight. This one is done in the finger style technique. Hopefully you like it.

  • Friends (by C&K)

Here’s one that I grew up listening to. In fact, this was my Graduation song! If you happen to play this song in the presence of someone from Hawaii, you are almost guaranteed to have someone singing along with you!

  • Hawaiian Numbers Song

Here’s one to help you learn how to count in Hawaiian! Fun tune to play on ukulele too!

  • Free Bird

Here’s a kinda long lesson. Well, it’s from a kinda long song. If you ever had someone yell for you to “Play FREEBIRD!”, you’ll probably get something out of this lesson. Keep in mind that this is not an entirely beginner friendly lesson, but let me know if you like the format of this lesson and ...

  • These Arms of Mine

This is one of the songs that can get stuck in your head for days. Come on Over from the Hui Ohana is sure to have all the Hawaiians in your vicinity singing along. We’re doing this one in the key of C for ease of use on the Ukulele so its not original key, but I can’t sing it like Unko Ned eithe...

  • Come On Over

This is a classic tune that makes me wish I was a better singer. These Arms of Mine by Otis Redding is still one of my favorite songs to play around a campfire with a glass of wine. Hope you like this easy ukulele version!

  • Pua Olena

I come from Mililani. One town over is Wahiawa. Home of some pretty well known local bands. One of my favorites growing up was Island Rhythms. Their version of this song was one of the tunes that got me into Hawaiian Music. Pua Olena wasn’t an Island Rhythms exclusive, but it was one of my “gatew...

Aloha Friends! Here is one of those songs that every Hawaiian holds near and dear to our hearts. Hawaii Aloha is our state song as well as one of those tunes that gets everyone to put aside their differences and join hands to come together as Ohana. Hope you like this one.
