Should have asked this question a year ago ...
So, I get the order of intro, basic, intermediate, etc., but within those catagories I am lost as to order or sequence.
Now there is the possibility (probability?) that I am just to thick to get it (I blame the TABS!) but you know what they say about dumb questions ...
Aloha Helene! Not a stupid question at all! There is no specific order within the categories. That way it leaves it open for you to practice the lessons that interest you. If you would like to try something a little more structured, you can try our one on one online live lessons. From there we can go over your goals and design a custom curriculum to suit you! Aloha-Aaron
Thanks Aaron! I feel better already.
I'm new to these lessons and am frustrated by there being no obvious way of knowing the sequence of lessons. I appreciate the looseness of being able to pick which lessons to watch and to gradually put the pieces together, but often, you begin a lesson by referring to the lesson from the previous week, with the current lesson building on what was covered in the previous week's lesson. I don't know how to find the previous lesson in order to watch it first, but I'm not inclined to proceed with the current lesson without first seeing the prior lesson. Is there a way that you could create some sort of master list of the lessons that has the date when they first appeared? Something along those lines would be very helpful. Thanks.
Aloha Joel! Mahalo for the suggestion! I am not a really computer savvy type of guy, but I'll try to see if there's a way I can put up the upload order. Only issue I see with that is that early on we didn't have a particular order when making the videos. This whole thing actually started with a Starbucks meeting with my good friends that were videographers who knew how to do websites. Lol! I'm still in the learning process, but as an "old guy", it takes me a bit to get used to these website things. Thank you again for the suggestion!
Aloha Aaron and mahalo for your response! It would be great if there were some way to kind of know the order of things, but truthfully, one of the things I like so much about your style is that it's laid back and more improvisational than orderly. I really do love your style of teaching and your "old guy" way of doing things, except from the point of view of this really old guy, you still seem like a pretty young guy to me. Thanks again!
Aloha Joel! Mahalo for the kind words! I appreciate it. I've always viewed learning as a bit of piece work. Kinda like a Ron White joke, you know ... I told you that story to tell you this one. Lol. I feel it focuses more on understanding than basic concept, but I do want to find some sort of order to it. Perhaps I'll start a new series from the ground up. It's funny though, I watch some of the earlier videos and realize how much teaching has taught me, and how much I've learned myself. Growth is ever evolving I guess!
Hey Aaron, I just discovered a whole bunch of lessons I didn't realize were there and along with that, I also discovered that there is an option for sorting the lessons by their release date so it looks like the lesson order problem may never have been the problem I thought it was, Thanks again for your responsiveness to my question and for being such an enjoyable teacher!
Aloha Joel! That's awesome! I think you probably know how to navigate the site better than me at this point! Mahalo for the kind words!
