Olomana, comprised of Jerry Santos and Robert Beaumont, is widely considered to be one of Hawaii’s most iconic musical duos. One of their biggest hits was "Ku’u Home O Kahalu’u". Having spent part of my childhood growing up in Waiahole Valley and even to this day being a regular patron (along with my cousin) to the legendary Waiahole Poi Factory, the song holds a special place in my heart. Playing this song brings me back to that place... home. I hope you enjoy this lesson and come to love the song as much as I do. Time travel with me back to Kahalu’u.
