Wahine Ilikea or “Fair skinned woman” is on of the first songs my Uncle taught me to play. The simple chord changes are foundational to musical growth. It also helps that the melody is catchy and memorable. To this day, the song remains as one of the essential Hawaiian songs in my set list on the rare occasion when I take a gig!
