Palehua from Amy Hanaiali’i Gilliam and Unko Willie K is IMHO one of the most beautiful Hawaiian songs to be written in recent years. The melody, the easy listening chord structure, not to mention Amy’s amazing voice all make this song hit me right in the heart. I wanted to teach this song to show how simple chord extensions can add to the beauty of a song... something that Unko Willie was well known for. This one is for Unko Willie, who recently graduated to heavens choir. RIL Unko, and mahalo for the music.
